Alexandra Dinu is a Researcher and Associate Professor at the Bucharest University for Economic Studies. She holds numerous awards in the IT field both nationally and internationally (Start-up of the year – Innovations labs, Bucharest; First Prize – “Be an Innovator”, Berlin; First Prize – “200 Seconds of Fame”, Bucharest ) and in 2020 she won 2nd place at the EU Datathon, out of 121 participating teams worldwide for “Shield – application for detecting fake news” project.

In 2021 she was also awarded Forbes 30 under 30 for all her achievements. At the end of 2022, she obtained a scholarship from Microsoft in partnership with the Politehnica University of Bucharest, after which she obtained 5 certifications in the field of cyber security.

Also in 2022, Alexandra was delegated to COP27 as an independent researcher on sustainability and climate change issues.

Her areas of interest include cyber security and protecting information systems, fake news, countering disinformation, artificial intelligence as well as sustainability and climate change.
