Experienced IT and cybersecurity professional, Liliana Mușețan is leading the Cybersecurity Unit at the General Secretariat of the European Council. She joined the Council fifteen month ago and since then, has become a fundamental driver of digital transformation. Liliana adds over 22 years of experience in the European Institutions and has been constantly admired for her leadership role in keeping up with the ever-changing threat landscape. Her role involves not only protecting the crown jewels of the Council while enhancing its security posture but also creating a vibrant cyber awareness culture. Prior to joining the EU as diplomat in the European External Action Service, she was the Head of IT at the General Secretariat of the Romanian Government. Liliana is a leading example for women in cybersecurity.
